Cables are essential components for electrical power systems. Verifying that each cable is sized correctly is crucial, but traditionally this process can be time-consuming. This webinar shows how to set up and use the fast and flexible cable ampacity and sizing calculation methods available in ETAP software.

This analysis also helps to prolong the integrity of cables by avoiding thermal damage, specifically to the insulation layer. The ETAP Cable Sizing module provides the ability to support any project workflow, whether the data input method is tabular, or graphically defined. As well, the design requirements can be customized or automatically determined from load flow, short circuit, and protective device calculation results.
