Learn about ETAP power system management solutions operators use to consistently deliver power, optimize operations, and maintain safety standards. These new approaches for real-time monitoring and situational intelligence help to effectively balance supply and demand under rapidly changing conditions, so that operators can make informed decisions more rapidly. Get an overview of the unique capabilities of ETAP Power System Management (PSMS) that leverages digital twin technology for live data collection and predictive simulation. The features of ETAP Situational Intelligence (eSI) are also highlighted to show how this solution goes beyond the standard HMI display to enhance the operator's ability to monitor and respond to system events. Through these improvements to visualization and predictive analysis of power system conditions, ETAP solutions ensure that operators are always one step ahead, ready to address any potential risks before they materialize.?The end result is that grid performance and reliability is optimized, reducing response times to disturbances through automated workflows.
Skyworks has been manufacturing integrated circuit modules since 1969, investing in technology, facilities, and state-of-the-art equipment, yielding a world-class operation based on advanced processes and a highly trained workforce. As one of the largest employers in the Mexicali region with 3100 employees, Skyworks was in need of an accurate way of controlling the energy costs of all their plant processes. Skyworks has already been using ETAP Digital Twin for their electrical system at the medium voltage level for the last 5 years, and this contributed to electricity and gas efficiency at plants that resulted in 29,173 tons of CO2 reduction over the years. In the semiconductor manufacturing business, it's very important to monitor the electrical system throughout the plant, including medium and low voltage operations. In this demonstration, you’ll learn how Skyworks expanded their ETAP model to include low voltage equipment, including predictive simulation in order to improve the reliability of their entire electrical system, and power system modeling (PSMS) to manage and ensure the electrical system power quality and increase the energy efficiency of their entire electrical operation.

Arc flash analysis extends well beyond the scope of IEEE 1584 and NFPA 70E methodology for transmission, distribution and renewable energy systems. For many years, the industry has been lacking an “all-in-one” solution for performing arc flash analysis on DC, LV, MV and HV AC systems. ETAP ArcFault™ provides a validated method for performing arc fault simulations in T&D open-air overhead conductor systems plus it provides two methods to determine the incident energy for arc-flash in 3-phase enclosed equipment for 15 to 38 kV renewable energy collector systems. This presentation explains the background and methods for arc fault simulations and explains how ETAP ArcFault helps utilities comply with OSHA requirements to perform arc-flash analysis for systems voltage above 1.0 kV.
